This Privacy Policy explains how VR2Planets processes your personal data when you visit this website or contact us through it. It is provided in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act.
1. Data controller
The controller of your personal data is VR2Planets, SAS (RCS Nantes 822 910 139), 42 Rue la Tour d’Auvergne, Halle 6 – Ouest, 44200 Nantes, France — contact@vr2planets.com. No Data Protection Officer has been appointed; for any question about your data, contact us at this address.
2. What data we collect, why, and on what basis
Contact & demo requests. When you submit a form, we collect your name and email address (required) and, optionally, your organization, organization type, role and message.
- Purpose: to respond to your request and manage our business relationship.
- Legal basis: pre-contractual steps taken at your request and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (Art. 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Product updates & newsletter. If you subscribe via our sign-up form, we collect your email address to send you VRExplorer release announcements and occasional product news.
- Purpose: to keep you informed about VRExplorer releases and product news.
- Legal basis: your consent, given when you confirm your subscription (double opt-in) (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time using the unsubscribe link included in every email.
Audience measurement. We use Google Analytics to measure how the site is used. This may collect your IP address and browsing data through cookies.
- Purpose: statistical audience measurement.
- Legal basis: your consent, collected through our cookie banner (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Analytics are not loaded until you accept.
3. Recipients
Your data is accessed by VR2Planets’ authorised staff and by our processors: OVH (website hosting, France), Brevo (Brevo SAS, France — sending of our email campaigns; subscriber data hosted within the European Union) and Google (audience measurement). We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for their own purposes.
4. Transfers outside the EU
Audience-measurement data processed by Google may be transferred to the United States, under the European Commission’s adequacy decision for the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or Standard Contractual Clauses.
5. How long we keep your data
- Contact/demo requests: up to 3 years from our last contact with you (in line with CNIL guidance on commercial prospecting).
- Newsletter subscription data: until you unsubscribe, or after 3 years of inactivity. When you unsubscribe, your email address is kept on a suppression list to make sure you are not contacted again.
- Audience-measurement data: no longer than 14 months, plus consent records as required by law.
6. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and object to the processing of your data, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, email contact@vr2planets.com. For marketing emails, the simplest way to object is the unsubscribe link included in every email. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the French supervisory authority, the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).
7. Cookies
This site uses cookies, including for audience measurement and video embeds. You can accept, refuse and manage your preferences at any time through the cookie banner. Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent.
